The crop top, high-waisted trend has obviously become Kim Kardashian's signature look. She's worn so many variations of this style and yet owns it every single time. You have to give the girl credit where credit is due. Kim knows how to rock clothes that flatter her figure--most of the time at least! But I have to admit, that black long-sleeved crop top paired with those Alexander McQueen pants she wore for her Fleur Fatale fragrance event wasn't doing it for me. If anything it made her look at a lot wider in the waist area. Not a good call Kim!
Women around the world would kill to have Salma Hayek's curves (myself included). The woman has the perfect hourglass figure. Big boobs, wide hips and this teeny tiny waist. But what's even more impressive than that, is how Salma accentuates her shape with clothes. Take the Equality Now's Make Equality Reality event she attended earlier this month, for instance. She wore this gorgeous teal gown paired with a thick, black belt that really cinched in her waist. In fact, it made it look even tinier!
Say what you want about Kim Kardashian, but the girl definitely knows how to get people talking, not to mention hating, on her. By now you've properly already seen that oiled-up bare butt of hers on the cover of Paper magazine. I'm convinced her goal is to make magazine-cover history. Remember that naked GQ spread she did a few months back? The point is, people love to hate on Kim. And one of the many reasons behind that (besides being her lack of talent) is the fact that we all secretly want her amazing hourglass bod!'
Temperatures are dropping, but that's no excuse to let your fashion sense go into hibernation. In fact, this is the perfect time to turn up the heat on your wardrobe. Personally, I like mixing and matching cool weather accents, like long sleeves and high necklines, with hot, curve-hugging cuts. It's not always easy, but I've figured out a way to get everything I want in a look, without having to spend too much money: buy fall dresses!
Fashion experts are all about teaching you how to dress for your body type and playing up your curves, but do they show you how to shop for clothes after major weight loss? Dressing a body that was once a size 16 and is now on its way to a 6 isn't so easy. In fact, it's a pretty difficult process to say the least. I mean, how do your dress your new body that's still changing every day?
As a chica with small boobs (size 34B to be exact) it's not always easy for me to give fashion advice to my big booby amigas. In fact, I've had instances where they all together refused to receive it. They'd poke fun at the fact that I need a pushup bra to have "real" cleavage or how I hardly wear bras during the summer time (thank you printed maxi dresses!). But after two years of working as a beauty and style reporter and speaking to every expert in the business, I've learned a thing or two about how to dress up big tetas. Finding cute and flattering outfits can be a challenge but it's definitely possible--trust me!
Jennifer Garner is proof that even skinny girls wear fajas from time to time. The 42-year-old actress showed up to the Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day premiere in an elegant LBD that left her in a pretty embarrassing situation. In fact, it was probably one of the most moritfying wardrobe malfunctions I've seen since Adrienne Bailon went without panties to the Escape to Total Rewards event back in 2012. Jennifer's dress went up revealing her nude-colored Spanx!
Kim Kardashian is doing an excellent job at keeping herself relevant this week. Between that hideous two-piece, leotard ensemble she wore at the GQ Men of the Year Awards and that naked photo shoot, there's no getting this woman out of our heads. She's got fashion fails and nudity, the only thing Kim's missing is a wardrobe malfunction. Oh wait, she actually did experience a slip up yesterday and it was a bad one to say the least!
I'm beginning to think the fashion gods that be have it out for curvy girls. Seriously! Every time I look at a fashion mag, it seems like they're telling me, an admittedly short and curvy chica, patterns, skinny jeans, crop tops, loose blouses, tight shirts, long skirts, short skirts, skirts in general, and everything in between are totally off limits for my voluptuous body. Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but that pretty much leaves us shapely women with nothing but A-line skirts and bell bottoms to wear. Um, that's pretty limiting if you ask me.Continue Reading >
Fall has always been my favorite season of the year. Not only do I love the cooler weather but I get excited at the thought of buying new clothes. Best part is, this season's fashion trends don't just work for the runway, they actually look good on all body types--especially those of us with curves! It's all about classic dresses (with cleverly placed panels and seams), dark florals, bold colors and figure-flattering pencil skirts that look amazing on a big booty!
