BET Awards 2012: Best & worst dressed

The BET Awards 2012 took place last night and some of Hollywood's biggest stars came out to celebrate the occasion. The event was full of amazing moments-- like the incredibly touching Whitney Houston tribute--but one of our favorite parts was, of course, the red carpet!

Though some of our favorite Latinas were there, not all of them were a hit with their fashion choices. Below, a look at the best to worst dressed Latinas at the awards!

1. Mariah Carey--Nine times out of ten, I think Mariah has way too much going on, but last night I thought she was right on point with her long, nude beaded dress. It is, yes, very tight, formfitting, and cleavage-baring (in usual Carey fashion) but honestly I don't care--I still think she looks amazing! Seriously, it's hard to believe that she is really a mother of twin babies because her body looks incredible, toned but still curvy. And though her dress was very glitzy, she kept her jewelry relatively understated, wearing only earrings and a cuff on her wrist. Go, Mariah!

 2. La La Anthony--I have to admit, I am not a fan of the jumper trend. I mean, are they considered pants? A onesie? I just don't understand the appeal  But if one person can pull it off, it's definitely La La, who is known for her super trendy style. At the awards she wore a glitter jumper, silver belt and pumps, and a side fishbraid. And although the outfit is not my favorite one of her, I have to admit that somehow she manages to work the look and make it look effortless.

3. Tatyana Ali--And then comes one of the most disappointing outfits of the night! I hate to say it because I'm a fan of the half-Panamian actress, but I did NOT like the bumblebee-like dress she wore last night. I know peplum is all the rage right now, but this one looks costumey with the bright yellow. Plus, it doesn't seem like it fits her right--the peplum is sitting too high on her waist, cutting off her torso and making it look shorter than it is. Not cute!
