This summer is all about prints and bright or contrasting colors. Everywhere I look-- magazines, stores, even on the street--I see lots of bright colored pants and designs that are clearly inspired by African and Latina American cultures. Fashion gurus are calling it the tribal trend.

Of course, I LOVE it. It makes me happy and proud. But to be honest, unless you have an unlimited budget for clothing and accessories, it does not make a lot of sense to go crazy buying many pieces.

Think about it: If you use too many tribal clothes or accessories together, you may end up looking like a piñata.

Below, a slideshow of accessories that will let you pull off the trendy tribal look for less than $25! It's a bargain, and best off all, most of the transition from day to night.

Aztec-inspired scarf

I love this scarf. If I had to choose just one tribal accesory, this would be it. You can wear it all year long. It would look different depending of the outfit and eliminates the need for a necklace. It's durable and you can even wash it in the gentle cycle.
