Did Zoe Saldana just diss working moms?

Yes! Zoe Saldana's twin baby bump hasn't slowed her down one bit. The 36-year-old has been busy hitting red carpet events for her recent movies Guardians Of The Galaxy and The Book of Life. She may be hustling now, but Zoe admits that she will be taking an extended break from her career once the babies arrive. She got really real about her thoughts on returning to work. Is she trying to hint something about moms who are forced to go back to work right away or after their maternity leave?

In a recent interview, Zoe revealed that she has been getting plenty of support from her Hollywood people:

I know that we will work everything out. I have to say, I'm very lucky. The great thing is that all the producers and creators involved in the projects that I've done—AvatarStar Trek and Guardians—they're very good people. So, they've been very understanding, especially with what's happening in my personal life. I've gotten nothing but support. To know that we are getting to that place where women can have that support from male driven workforces is—I have to say, it's very inspiring.

But she also admitted she won't be shy about taking all of the maternity time she needs:

They don't have a choice! I'm not going to rip my child off my tit to go work. And if I do that, then maybe you shouldn't hire me because I am willing to sell anything.

Bueno, I love Zoe, but her comment has a judgemental tone to it. Some women don't have the option to take an extended leave, but that doesn't mean they are "ripping the child off of the tit." They pump in mothering rooms or bathrooms and try their best to juggle everything because they don't have a multi-million dollar check waiting at the end of the year. I'm sure her own mother had to make that sacrifice.

As she put it, she's "lucky" that her situation turned out ideal for her, but who's to say that some moms are dying to get back into the workplace after being on leave for three months? I don't think that should be looked down upon. Let's stop being so judgy with one another because our breasts go through a lot already while breastfeeding. It's already hard enough without having someone else giving you the side-eye.
