There's a beautiful video buzzing around the internet with Dr. Carey Andrew-Jaja that would make anyone's heart melt. This OB-GYN doesn't just deliver babies, he sings to every single one of them and it's the sweetest thing I've ever seen. You have to check it out for yourself, but warning: It might make you shed a tear or two!

Dr. Andrew-Jaja, from Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, began singing during his residency. He was working under an older doctor who used to LOVE to sing to babies. When the older doctor was about to retire, he asked Dr. Andrew-Jaja to start singing as well and he's been singing and delivering babies ever since. "I have been doing it every time I deliver, and they won't let me leave the room unless I sing," he told CBS Pittsburgh.
"They're special. Each of them is an individual," he added. "I deliver thousands and thousands of babies. When I'm singing to those babies I think I'm singing to a future important person. That's the credit I give to all of them. So to me it's a wonderful thing in my hand, the miracle of life."
His favorite song to sing in the delivery room is "Happy Birthday," but every once in a while he'll switch it up to songs like "It's a Wonderful Word," or "Not While I'm Around" from Sweeney Todd. How cute is that? And it's not just the babies who enjoy his serenading, the moms love it too. In fact, one mom had a tear streaming down her face while the doctor sang to her new baby. Even the workers who assist in the delivery room enjoy it.
"I just say it's a requirement now that everybody sings," said Dr. Andrew-Jaja. "People say they can't sing. It doesn't matter. We all join in together." This doctor is seriously a sweetheart. I can't think of anything more adorable than singing to a newborn baby straight from delivery. I think I might just sing to my baby when it's born, or better yet have my hubby do it--I can't sing!
