An Ohio woman and her ex-boyfriend finally admitted to the murder of her 18-month-old daughter yesterday in court, around three months after the young girl's remains were found in a box in a garage.
Elaina Steinfurth was reported missing in early June after her mother, Angela, told her estranged husband she could not find the little girl. The report set off a massive, three month-long search in the area. In September, authorities found a body in a box in the home of Angela's now ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Steven King II. DNA testing confirmed that the skeletal remains were that of Baby Elaina's.
The former couple have now pled guilty and revealed the real story behind the murder…and the truth is more horrifying than you can imagine.Continue Reading >
A fisherman found a dead 15-month-old baby strapped into a stroller submerged in the water on the coast of Berck Sur Mer, France in the English Channel on November 20. After 10 days of a nationwide search, police used DNA to find the mother of the child, Fabienne Kabou in Paris. On Saturday, Kabou was questioned by police for four hours and the 36-year-old philosophy student originally from Senegal admitted to taking her child Adelaide to the beach where she left her to die in the rising tide. Chilling images of Kabou calmly pushing Adelaide in the stroller in which she drowned were caught by security cameras on November 19 and they are enough to turn the stomach of anyone with a heart. Why would this mother so calmly push her daughter toward death?Continue Reading >
Just months after Kyle Underhill graduated from Islip High School in Long Island, New York, the 18-year-old's dead body was found in a creek on November 19, 2011. The details of this young man's murder are pretty gruesome. He was found covered with a board with two sticks shoved in his mouth and throat, he'd been beaten, had fractured ribs, and a fractured bone in his neck. Apparently, he was still alive when he was submerged into the creek where he eventually died. Now two years later, 21-year-old Thomas Liming has been charged with second degree murder in the case. The thing is that Thomas Liming is not only a former classmate of Underhill's, he was also Underhill's best friend.Continue Reading >
A Connecticut man has been arrested for plotting to take Fairfield elementary school students hostage and harm them. But personally, I don't think he should be in jail. Why? According to police, Joseph Russo, 44, actually turned himself in to the authorities, saying he couldn't control his criminal thoughts and wanted to get help immediately before he could hurt anyone.
How many times have we heard of something like that--someone willingly turning themselves in to protect others--happening? The answer is, pretty much never. Doesn't an act like that warrant some understanding on our parts?Continue Reading >
Larry Barnett is a 68-year-old cold blooded butt-dialer. Just how cold blooded? Well, Barnett, who owns the Legend Motor Company car dealership in Jonesboro, Arkansas, has had an ongoing beef with former employee, 33-year-old James Macom. They had been disputing ownership of a vehicle and Macom had also filed a claim against his former boss for lost wages. Well, apparently Barnett wanted to be done with the whole mess and his solution was to hire a hit man to kill Macom. He might have gotten away with it too, but while planning the murder with the hit man, Barnett accidentally butt-dialed Macom. Oh, yeah!Continue Reading >

Ian Watkins, the lead singer of rock band Lostprophets, has plead guilty to multiple child sex charges, including the attempted rape of a baby.

Three women were rescued from a south London home where they were believed to have been held captive for more than 30 years, authorities revealed this morning.
Officers rescued a 69-year-old Malaysian woman, a 57-year-old Irish woman and a 30-year-old British woman after reportedly receiving a tip in October from a domestic abuse non-profit organization called Freedom Charity. Though all three women are now safe, police say they are all "highly traumatized" from the "barbaric" ordeal. Well, it only stands to reason that they would be! More than three decades in captivity?! That is awful beyond words.Continue Reading >
