Recall Alert! 9,000 Toys R Us walkers may present a scary choking hazard!
Mamás, if you own the Imaginarium Activity Walker from Toys "R" Us, you'll want to know about their latest recall. The walker is being voluntarily recalled by Toys 'R' Us after the company received five complaints that the front wheels can detach and pose as a choking hazard for children. So far no injuries have been reported, but the makers are taking extra precautions to avoid any potential problems.

The Huffington Post reports that more than 9,000 walkers are being recalled which were sold between August 2011 and January 2013. The model you should be wary of is the walkers labeled "Toys 'R' Us 5F5E972" and the bar code "3700217300319." The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says that the small parts that attach each front wheel to the walker can detach posing as a possible choking hazard for babies.

Currently the company urges that consumers stop using the walker and return it to the store. If you have questions regarding the walker recall, you can contact Toys "R" Us at (800) 869-7787 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. EST Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
How scary is that?! Parents buy their kids these types of toys all the time, but it's a good thing Toys "R" Us caught the faulty issue before it got worse. We strongly urge you to abide by their orders to stop using the walker if you have one at home to prevent your baby from getting hurt.
