Why stealing your kids' coloring books is a good idea!

When I was a kid, I used to love to color. I would take any little book that I could find, some colorful pencils or crayons and just go at it. Now that I'm an adult, I have watched kids coloring in restaurants and bookstores and, honestly, been a little bit jealous. I thought I was the only adult that was still wishing to go back to those color book days. That is, until, I found a new website called "color your way to calm"—comprised of good old coloring books, for adults!

Don't tell me that you've never looked at your kids and wished that you could just absorb yourself in coloring a book the way they do. I know you have. I may not have kids (yet) but I remember how much fun coloring can be. I know you do too. It's one of life's little guilty pleasures because it takes virtually no thinking, so you can just relax for hours on end.

But I was happy to learn that I'm not the only adult wishing for some relaxing "me time" spent with a coloring book. The company Color Your Way Books is offering just that: coloring books for adults. Their section includes Color Your Way to Sleep, Color Your Way to Success, Color Your Way to Well and (of course) Color Your Way to Calm. I think we can definitely ALL relate to that one, right? I know I would definitely love to have any of these, especially the Calm or Well versions.

Honestly, what could be better than indulging in a favorite past time and getting to relax a little bit? Maybe you don't remember just how much fun it can be to color but I think you should try it. Maybe next time your kids start coloring, you should grab a page and try it, too. Or maybe you are too embarrassed and would rather have one of these coloring books for adults. Either way, I think you'll be surprised by how much you enjoy still—I know I was.
