Nothing beats sitting around a table with people you love, letting the time pass while you enjoy good food and good conversation.  In the spring, I want the table to radiate freshness and happiness.  When it comes to great new table setting ideas, everything old is new again.
An excellent way to bring instant spring to a table is a bowl full of beautiful fruit.  The fruit makes the look, but it's important to have the right bowl too.

We are in love with this beautiful, shell-shaped William Bounds Grainware from the Shore Bowl.  It's clear, so the fruit inside shows through, and the shell shape inspires throughts of the beach (and reminds you that beach days are coming soon!).

For a fun splurge, I am just crazy about this decorative Shell Design Platter.   It's like bringing the ocean right to your table.  You'll use it again and again.  My tip is to stack it lightly… maybe a few empanaditas… so  that you can let its natural beauty show and liven up your table.

I like to stack a line of river rocks in the middle of the table and, for peaceful dinners, add a fwe votives.  It adds a watery, peaceful mood.  To keep that mood going, I am crazy about these beautiful Ty Pennington Style Bali Hai Dinner Plates.   They are the color of the ocean.  They'll beautify any spring table.
