Woman offers $10,000 to friends in exchange for help finding true love!
Finding your soulmate can be tough, right ladies? That's why one woman recently decided to take a more creative approach to dating. A managing supervisor at a well-known San Francisco advertising agency (who remains unidentified) recently presented her friends with a unique offer: $10,000 in reward money to whoever introduces her to her future husband.
Can you believe that?! Well, I guess that's one way to go about it!

Apparently inspired by Sheryl Sandberg's feminism handbook Lean In (which guides women into making certain moves in their career, like asking for a raise), this lady decided to do exactly as the title said and lean in--all the way to the altar!
The email written to her friends and obtained by Agency Spy read, in part:
I will personally give ten thousand dollars to the friend who introduces me to my husband. Here is how the referral program works:
Step 1: You set me up on a date with a man
Step 2: I marry that man
Step 3: I give you $10,000 on my wedding day
I know you're thinking that this is nuts. Just plain crazy. "[Redacted], you can find a husband without dishing out $10,000." Well for starters, thank you – I'm flattered. And secondly, I totally agree. But the reality is finding a husband always costs money. I just collected 1,000 insider points from Sephora and this isn't because I buy beauty products to impress my 4-year-old nephew.
She's right--it DOES sound crazy. But the actually crazy part is that it seems to be working! According to Gawker, the woman already has around 100 potential dates lined up. Wow!
Okay, here's the thing: Do I think this lady might be being a little dramatic and taking this whole fear-of-dying-alone thing too far? Yes. At the same time, I can't help but admire her balls to the wall attitude. Maybe some people will call her desperate for taking such drastic actions, but at least she's taking her fate into her own hands and putting herself out there--something which, believe it or not, takes some bravery on her part
And hey, just think ... if she actually does meet her husband through this experience, she'll have a great story to tell.
