As if the world wasn't already overly obsessed with women's body parts and their grooming, now there's a new Indian product called Clean and Dry Intimate Wash that is designed to actually lighten the color of your vagina. Like, for real. Because, you know, our vaginas are way too brown to be desirable. Uhhh WTF?!

In the commercial for the product, a couple sits together, drinking coffee and not talking. The woman sighs unhappily. Suddenly, a light bulb goes on in her brain and she runs to the shower to use the wash. With that, the world--obviously elated that she bleached her hoohaa--quickly brightens and her and her man resume coupled, fairy-tale like bliss. All thanks to the relationship-saving super bleaching vaginal wash! I swear, I couldn't make this up even if I tried really, really hard.

Seriously, though, what the hell is wrong with the world? Aren't women criticized enough? WHAT DO THEY WANT FROM US?! Now, we don't just have to be waxed—we have to be waxed, vajazzled and apparently bleached to an inch of our lives. What's next? Will vaginas soon have to come with plastic toys, like a McDonalds Happy Meal? WHEN WILL IT END?

Besides the ridiculous and insane misogynistic ideals that this product promotes, it also makes extremely disturbing implications about skin tones and what is considered beautiful both within the Indian culture and even outside of it! But the worst part? The genius ad exec behind this lovely promotion (who by the way is MALE and therefore does not have a vagina!) says activists should just calm down and "take a deep breath" because apparently, using this product is akin to using lipstick to make your lips redder. Oh yeah dude, that's the same thing!

I don't know what's more terrifying--that this product exists or that we live in a world where people might actually buy it. The whole thing makes me scared for every women on Earth. When will we all just be left alone? Also, is this even SAFE? I mean, come on. It's about time that the world realizes that, contrary to (apparently) popular belief, females aren't clamoring over each other to be the fairest vagina of them all. We have way more important things to think about --like raising kids, helping people and just generally ruling the world.

Would you ever in a million years try a product like this?

I don't know where you live, but I CAN imagine women climbing over each other to get a bottle of this wash here in L.A. ...... It would probably sell out overnight in the 323 area code.
