A Texas middle school principal has come under fire after she tried to ban students from speaking Spanish in class.
Principal Amy Lacey reportedly made an announcement over the intercom, informing the children that they were prohibited from speaking the language while in class and urging teachers to enforce the new rule by writing them up if they disobeyed it. But after both parents and students made it clear that they were none too happy with the policy (and rightly so), school officials seem to be eating their words.Continue Reading >
An Ohio woman and her ex-boyfriend finally admitted to the murder of her 18-month-old daughter yesterday in court, around three months after the young girl's remains were found in a box in a garage.
Elaina Steinfurth was reported missing in early June after her mother, Angela, told her estranged husband she could not find the little girl. The report set off a massive, three month-long search in the area. In September, authorities found a body in a box in the home of Angela's now ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Steven King II. DNA testing confirmed that the skeletal remains were that of Baby Elaina's.
The former couple have now pled guilty and revealed the real story behind the murder…and the truth is more horrifying than you can imagine.Continue Reading >
You know that expression "it'll cost an arm and a leg," when referring to something expensive? Well, in the case of this man's dream car, it'll cost a different body part. While recently appearing on the TV show, The Doctors, Mark Parisi revealed that he will be "donating" his left testicle for medical research in exchange for $35,000, which he intends to use to buy the car he's been wanting.

A Connecticut man has been arrested for plotting to take Fairfield elementary school students hostage and harm them. But personally, I don't think he should be in jail. Why? According to police, Joseph Russo, 44, actually turned himself in to the authorities, saying he couldn't control his criminal thoughts and wanted to get help immediately before he could hurt anyone.
How many times have we heard of something like that--someone willingly turning themselves in to protect others--happening? The answer is, pretty much never. Doesn't an act like that warrant some understanding on our parts?Continue Reading >

Ian Watkins, the lead singer of rock band Lostprophets, has plead guilty to multiple child sex charges, including the attempted rape of a baby.
Yesterday, Watkins and two female defendants appeared in court, where the musician admitted to attempting to rape an 11-month-old boy of one of the co-defendants and conspiring to rape the baby girl of another. According to the police, he also recorded and kept episodes of this abuse, which were later recovered by authorities. Ugh, this is the kind of story that makes my stomach turn. A South Carolina girl kidnapped by her own mother when she was just 10 months old has been found alive in Australia, 19 years after she first went missing.

Though all three women are now safe, police say they are all "highly traumatized" from the "barbaric" ordeal. Well, it only stands to reason that they would be! More than three decades in captivity?! In a shocking twist, charges have been dropped against the two young suspects arrested for cyberbullying another girl, who later committed suicide.
Back in October, 14-year-old Guadalupe Shaw and 12-year-old Katelyn Roman were charged with aggravated stalking, following the suicide of 12-year-old Rebecca Sedwick (seen here). At the time, authorities said Shaw and Roman were relentlessly tormenting Sedwick in school and online, calling her "ugly," and "stupid," and turning friends against her. Now, to many people's utter dismay, they are no longer being held responsible for their actions.
