The 2018 Golden Globes are proof that Latinos have been making inroads in the entertainment industry. We still have a long way to in terms of representation in the industry, but if you see the list of this year's nominees and presenters, you'll agree that we are getting there slowly.

More from MamásLatinas: 11 Times Latinas slayed at the Golden Globes

We're celebrating the fact that more and more Latinos are being recognized for their work in every aspect of the entertainment industry. It's certainly a banner year!

Here's a preview of what to expect at the Golden Globes, which air on Sunday, January 7 at 8 p.m. EST.

Guillermo del Toro's 'The Shape of Water' has six nominations.

This is the first time the Mexican director has been recognized at the Golden Globes. Unbelievable, right? His nominated work is a beautiful tale about a mute woman falling in love with a God from the Amazon jungle.

And there is no one betting against the most gorgeous film that has ever come out of Pixar.

'Coco' is also nominated for best original song.

Acclaimed Filipino American composer Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen Anderson Lopez hit it out of the ballpark with the moving song "Remember me." This bilingual version of the song is interpreted by Miguel and Natalia Lafourcade and it will melt your heart.

Mimi’s song is an incredible ode to the Christmas star.

'Ferdinand', headlined by Gina Rodríguez, also has two nominations.

The animated movie is inspired by the popular children's story set in Spain and was directed by Brazilian Carlos Saldanha. Yes, the guy who brought us Rio and Rio 2.

Alexis Bledel didn't get nominated for her work in 'The Handsmaid's Tale.'

However, we count The Handsmaid's Tale as a win for Latinas. The Argentinian American actress is great as Ofglen in the dystopic femenist Hulu series.

The Chilean movie 'A Fantastic Woman' is up for Best Foreign Movie.

The story is about a trasgender woman's life has a 90 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Yes, it's that good.

The inspiring Mexican actress has been one of the most moving and powerful voices of the #MeToo movement and deserves to be there this year. She is also producing the Wicked TV series, which hopefully will be nominated next year.

Of course, we all want to know if she will be wearing black, as other stars have said they will, to make a point about sexual harrassment and abuse in the film industry. Regardless of the color of her dress, she will definitely slay the red carpet.

The Spanish actress is promoting the second season of FX's American Crime Story. She plays Donatella Versace in The Assassination of Gianni Versace.

Venezuelan actor Edgar Ramírez has built an amazing career in Hollywood since 2007, when he played the villain in The Bourne Ultimatum. He also killed it as Kandomere in Netflix’s Bright and looks incredible as Gianni Versace in FX’s The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

Edgarcito will be presenting, maybe next to one of our favorite Latino male celebs...

Yes, Ricky Martin will also be presenting.

The Boricua star plays Versace's boyfriend Antonio D'amico in the series and has already said we will see probably (hopefully) get to see him naked.

To give us a taste of what's coming, he posted this photo on his Instagram account. Open the link when you are alone.

Expect Gael García Bernal to be there to represent 'Coco.'

Hopefully, once again with friend Diego Luna, who next year should be nominated for his role in Netflix's Narcos 4.

Gael may be his competition. The fourth season of Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle drops on February 16 and he is always delightful as Rodrigo.
