Selena Gomez
has been up to a lot lately. She's the new face of Coach and while also designing bags for the brand, so it's no wonder she got to sit front row at their NYFW show right next to Anna Wintour. The 25-year-old singer and actress also recently graced her first cover for Time magazine's special project edition dubbed "First." With everything she's had going on, the last thought that crossed our minds was that Selena could be sick. Selena shared a photo to Instagram of her and her good friend, actress Francia Raisa, holding hands while laying on hospital beds.

I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made. She mentions how her good friend Francia, who is a Mexican and Honduran actress best known for her role in Bring It On: All or Nothing, was kind enough to donate her own kidney so that Selena could have this life-saving surgery. These two amazing Latinas are #friendshipgoals for real.

Selena also shared pics of her new post-surgery stomach scar that starts above her right hip and hits a little underneath her belly button.

Selena Gomez is a fighter. With everything she's had on her plate lately, who would have guessed she was also undergoing major surgery? But Selena's health issue aren't new. In fact, she's been struggling with lupus, an autoimmune disease, for years now. She cancelled her worldwide concert tour back in 2016 because she was experiencing serious Lupus side effects such as depression, panic, attacks, anxiety, and more.

"I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness, and have decided that the best way forward is to take time off," she wrote to her fans back then. "I know I am not alone by sharing this. I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues."

And Selenita is not alone. She has amazing family and friends, like Francia who was even willing to donate her own kidney for Selena to get better, and she has millions of fans and followers who have supported her every step of the way.

We're 100 percent Selena has got this and we can't wait to see her continue to slay!
