SEE: Brazilian artist's empowering drawings of women go viral

Fed up with the way society polices women's bodies, behaviors and identities, 26-year-old Brazilian graphic designer Carol Rossetti began posting illustrated body-positive messages to women on Facebook, and to her surprise, women everywhere have responded in a major way. What started out as a personal project for the Brazilian artist quickly turned into a viral phenomenon, as women from all over the world began to liked, shared, and even translated Rossetti's powerful illustrations encouraging women to take control of their bodies, identities and behaviors.

Though Rossetti is admittedly surprised, I'm not. Rossetti's illustrations are so fantastically beautiful, they made me laugh, cheer, and even cry, all at once. But don't take my word for it. Take a look at them for yourself.
