In case you needed any more proof that females really do run the world, Forbes just releated their list of the 100 Most Powerful Women--and I am proud to say that 8 inspiring Latinas made the cut!

The list examines women from all over the globe, not just the United States, and ranks them based on three measures: money, media, and impact. The amazing ladies chosen are those at the forefront of their fields, from politics to nonprofits and entertainment to fashion.

Taking a look at the ranking, I was thrilled to see that some of my favorite Latina celebrities were reconized, as well as a few powerful global leaders from Latin American countries. They are all so inspiring, not to mention such an orgullo for our community! Check out who made the list and why below:

Dilma Rouseff

At number 3 on the list, the President of Brazil--one of the world's largest economies--is one of the most powerful and influential Latinas in the world. Rousseff's groundbreaking work has earned her an approval rating of 77 percent and she is expected to be reelected in 2014.
