The new season of The Bachelorette hasn't even begun yet and the show is already facing a terrible tragedy. One of their contestants, 31-year-old Eric Hill, who was looking to woo 26-year-old Andi Dorfman has died after an inexplicable incident. He was hospitalized on Sunday after being in a paragliding accident in Utah.
His sister confirmed via Facebook that after being in a coma for a couple of days, he succumbed to his injuries. How sad!
A California teen was killed while sleeping in her bed after an alleged drunk driver crashed into her apartment early Sunday.
Authorities say the horrific tragedy occurred when 20-year-old Roberto Rodriguez lost control of his SUV, jumped the curb and smashed into 17-year-old Giselle Mendoza's bedroom. A 53-year-old Argentinian blacksmith is under investigation after it was discovered that he fathered five children with his now 31-year-old daughter.

Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez has died at the age of 87. He was best known for his short stories and novels such as 100 Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera and for creating the popular genre of LAtin American literature known as Magical Realism. His influence has been noted by most modern writers and he was well regarded as one of the best writers of the 20th century.
He recently was hospitalized for infections in his lungs and urinary tract in Mexico City where he lived, and though there were reports that he was fighting cancer, his family denied it. Sources close to Marquez's family broke the sad news to the Associated Press. At least four people are dead and around 300 others are still missing after a ferry carrying hundreds of students sank while traveling from South Korea to a nearby resort island.
The ship was carrying a total of 459 people at the time—the vast majority of whom were high schoolers--on the organized field trip. According to reports, 164 passengers were rescued after many of them jumped into the freezing cold sea to avoid sinking on the ship. 55 reportedly sustained injuries. When 45-year-old Eduardo Hernandez pulled over to help teens Caroline Agreda and Anapaula Saldana after the 17-year-olds got into a car accident in Florida yesterday, he had no way of knowing his good deed would cost him his life.
According to reports, the tragedy occurred when Hernandez pulled over to help the teens after seeing their Toyota Corolla collide with a Chevy Equinox at around 3 a.m. The trio was standing on the side of the road, when a fourth vehicle slammed into them and the SUV, killing all three of them on impact. What an unbelievably heartbreaking story.
A Michigan father of sextuplets tragically died of a heart attack on Wednesday while setting up a trampoline for his children, a relative said.

The Texas woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death with a five-and-a-half inch blue stiletto heel has been found guilty. The 45-year-old Latina, Ana Trujillo, is on trial in the sentencing phase for killing her 59-year-old boyfriend, Alf Stefan Andersson, in his home last June.
However, Trujillo claims that she killed him in self-defense because he was abusive towards her and attacked her the night of his death.
A man who accidentally hit a child with his car was brutally attacked by eyewitnesses for doing the right thing.The 54-year-old driver whose name hasn't been released was driving in a Detroit neighborhood when he accidentally hit 10-year-old David Harris. The boy reportedly stepped off the curb and ran in front of the car giving the driver little time to press on the brake.
