Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are becoming more and more popular, but those who use them are going to have to be much more careful now that the first child's death from liquid nicotine has been reported. An unfortunate 1-year-old child has died after ingesting the substance used in these e-cigarettes and although police consider it a "tragic accident," it's obvious more needs to be done to prevent further tragedies.
The shootings in a Washington State high school claimed their third victim. This is just so very sad. In case you missed the backstory, a community in Washington State was left reeling when an armed teenager gunned down five students at a local high school before turning the .40-caliber pistol on himself. The gunman was Jaylen Fryberg, a 14-year-old student at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, where the murderous melee occurred. According to witnesses, Jaylen walked into the cafeteria on Friday walked into the cafeteria at Marysiville-Pilchuck High School Friday, and opened fire on a group of students that included two of his own cousins, as well as a young girl who he was rumored to have had a crush on.
Kayelisa Martin committed suicide minutes after her 14-month-old baby, Omoyele Gonzalez, died mysteriously and unexpectedly at home. The death of her baby was too much to bear for the 20-year-old mom and in an act of madness she went to a busy interstate and jumped in front of a semi-trailer. She died instantly from her injuries and the police and family members are trying to understand what caused the baby's death.
It turns out driving with your hair down and the window open can be disastrous: Caterina Alzetta, a gorgeous 19-year-old Italian teen, was driving with her brother Pietro when her hair got tangled in the steering wheel making her lose control of the vehicle and crash. Take a deep breath! I don't really know if these two women are spiritual, religious or if they believe in miracles, but I'm assuming that after their near death experience, they will be. You have to see this video to believe what I'm talking about because it's really hard to swallow. The nail biting footage from the security camera of a train in motion shows two women struggling to get out of the train's way and failing. The next thing you know the women were drowned by the engine, but a miracle happened you won't believe--you just have to see it!
What was supposed to be a lovely father-daughter walk along the beach turned into a literal nightmare for one Georgia family. Ommy Irizarry was walking with his 9-year-old daughter, Oceana Irizarry, along a beach in Sarasota, Florida when he was struck by a small plane making an emergency landing.
The 36-year-old dad was killed on impact, according to Sarasota County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Wendy Rose. Fortunately, Irizarry's daughter survived the freak accident. She was transported to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she is said to be in critical condition.
This woman was a true hero. Karen Wessel died while trying to save a little boy from drowning in a northern Wisconsin Lake earlier this week. The 47-year-old woman was on vacation at the lake with her sister, a friend and four children. Tragedy struck once three of those boys swam to a sandbar, but got tired and needed help swimming back to shore. The suburban mom decided to jump in to save them, but lost her life before a rescuer came on scene.
Authorities have scheduled an investigation into the death of an 8-month old baby girl who was determined to have suffered cardiac arrest in her home earlier this month. While this tragic death has not been ruled as suspicious, it did come after an accident that could literally happen to anyone. 84-year-old, Lloyd Woodlief shot his 49-year-old son, Lloyd Peyton Woodlief after an argument between the family members got heated.
