Couple caught sneaking into maternity ward with fake babies


A California woman was busted for allegedly trying to enter a maternity ward while carrying a lifelike baby doll. Talk about creepy.

Tanya Whiteny was arrested and booked on suspicion of trespassing after trying to enter the newborn baby unit of Mercy Medical Center Merced--twice! Hospital employees first spotted Whitney and her unidentified partner in crime on August 16, when the duo entered the maternity ward with a swaddled baby doll in tow. According to hospital staffers, Whiteny and her partner, who is presumed to be her husband, were cooing over the fake baby, and they even changed its diapers. However, despite their little show, hospital staffers were able to see through the couple's rouse. They asked Whitney to leave the hospital immediately.

Xavier Rivas of Los Amos de la Sierra kidnapped & tortured in Denver


This is getting out of hand. Another act of violence within the world of grupero music, but this time it took place in this side of the border. Xavier Rivas, drummer of the group Los Amos de la Sierra, was hit in the head, covered with a hood and kidnapped by a group of strangers. It happened in broad daylight and Rivas was so scared that he refuses to file a formal police report. What they did to him is outrageous!

Abigail Hernandez: Horrific details emerge about teen's kidnapping


The case of Abigail Hernandez goes on and it gets crazier by the day as more details are revealed about what happened to the Latina teen after she vanished last October 9 on her way home from school in Conway, New Hampshire. Very little is known about what went on during the nine months the teen was gone, but 34-year-old Nathaniel Kibby was arrested as the prime suspect in Abigail's disappearance. Now the prosecutors have released photos of an above ground bunker which they believe Kibby used to hold Hernandez against her will.

Dad who accidentally left toddler in hot car may have done it on purpose

After Georgia dad Justin Ross Harris reportedly accidently left his son in a hot car for hours last week and was subsequently charged with murder, the public rushed to his defense, calling the incident a terrible accident and even starting petitions to demand that the charges be dropped. But now, thanks to new details emerging in the case, police are calling Harris' entire story into question and suggesting the unthinkable: that he may have left the baby in the hot car on purpose.

Boy fakes kidnapping & you'll never believe why


You are not going to believe the story this kid came up with in an effort to get out of going to the dentist. The boy in question is 12 years old and from France. On May 21, local police spotted the boy hiding as they patrolled the Alpine village St. Gervais. When questioned, the boy told police that he had been kidnapped from the nearby town of Bagnols. He had a whole elaborate story, the only thing is that it was all a big fat lie.

Kidnapped newborn snatched from hospital saved thanks to Facebook!

A baby girl abducted from the maternity ward just hours after she was born has been saved, thanks to a little help from Facebook.

Police in Canada issued an Amber Alert on Monday after a woman allegedly wearing scrubs and posing as a nurse snatched the baby from a hospital in Quebec, claiming she needed to weigh the infant. Authorities included a photo of the suspect and a description of her car in the alert, which was posted on social media by a local news site. That move ended up saving the baby's life, as a Facebook user spotted the alert and recognized the kidnapper.

California woman held captive by mom's Latino ex for 10 years

A 25-year-old California woman allegedly suffered years of torment and rape at the hands of her mother's ex, who she says kidnapped her and held her captive for 10 years.

The woman, who is refusing to be identified, was only 15 years old when she was reportedly taken back in August 2004. Her attacker, 41-year-old Isidro Garcia, was apparently living with the woman's mother when he drugged the then-teenager and abducted her. Now, the woman is speaking out about her horrific ordeal, which she describes as a "nightmare."

People really do underestimate how smart some kids are. This one 9-year-old managed to get a kidnapper to let him go by doing something most of us would never even think to do. Kidnapper taunted parents "Come get me!" when he stole their disabled daughter


Elizabeth Rex of Magnolia, Texas went missing on Monday. She's 14-years-old, but because she has Down syndrome and autism, she has the maturity level of about a 5 or 6-year-old. Elizabeth disappeared on Monday when she went out to check the mail. On Tuesday, an Amber Alert was issued for her after Patrick Rex and Jennifer Black found a phone number in their missing daughter's room.

When they called the number Elizabeth answered the phone, but the phone was snatched from her by the man who allegedly abducted the girl,  51 year old Randy Johnson. Johnson got on the phone and said, "You'll never see Lizzy again. I've got her and where we are going you can't get across the checkpoint because you don't have an ID. Come get me."

Man kidnaps 4-year-old & his surprising excuse will leave you speechless

A Phoenix man was arrested after he reportedly kidnapped a 4-year-old girl from her bedroom in the middle of the night this past weekend. The craziest part? After authorities caught him, he insisted he did it by accident.

Seriously?! Lots of things happen by accident--people trip, call someone the wrong name, spill something, etc. But I've never heard of anyone "accidentally" kidnapping a child!
