jailJanie Talley was arrested in North Carolina after she helped her teenage son set himself on fire. The 41-year-old mother recorded the home video which shows her 16-year-old take on "The Fire Challenge." Obviously the dangerously stupid prank went wrong and the boy was rushed to the hospital with severe burns. Moments after the video was uploaded to Facebook, police officers arrested Talley and charged this crazy mom with delinquency.

This fire challenge is the craziest thing I have heard in a long time. Basically, kids have to put alcohol, oil or any other flammable ingredient on their chest. Talley's son rubbed nail polish remover before he lighted his chest on fire. Insane! Luckily he did the challenge in the bathroom so when the flames when out of control he got splashed with water.

The problem is that his mother facilitated the challenge and put her son's life in danger. She recorded the whole thing and probably uploaded the video to his son's page. What? I'm sorry but this mom is crazy! Doesn't she know that fire is one of the most powerful forces in the world? We all learned that from fire drills at school when we were young. You can create a massive fire from a tiny flame.

These ridiculous Facebook challenges need to stop! Kids don't understand that they can put themselves in real danger. Some challenges are crazier than others, but they all involve extreme measures with the only purpose of making people laugh. Some people have been hospitalized lately with pneumonia because of The Ice Bucket Challenge, but this fire challenge is something else. Unfortunately, Talley and her son will learn that actions do have consequences in a hard way. It's not clear what's going to happen to the mom or how long she will be in jail, but I'm sure she regretted already that she wasn't strong enough to say NO and stop her son from participating in the game.

Watch the video below, but be warned, the images are SUPER graphic!
