Hell, MichiganThe entire country has been feeling the effects of the Polar Vortex. I know it sounds like animated movie starring Tom Hanks, but this Polar Vortex is not family friendly and it's causing all kinds of problems.

Cold air that air that would normally surround the North Pole has made it's way south and places that are not used to or prepared for sever cold have been feeling the freeze. At least 21 people have died because of the weather and 11,000 flights have been grounded. All 50 states saw freezing temperatures at some point on Tuesday (even HAWAII!), and it got so cold that Hell froze over. Yup, you read that right.

Hell, Michigan completely froze over. It's a small town, where the shops closed down and neighbors helped keep each other warm. Actually sounds pretty cozy if you ask me!

The chill started over the weekend in the Midwest. Temperatures are expected to start rising, but the damage has already been done. While most of the effects are expected to be short-lived, experts like Evan Gold, senior vice president at business weather intelligence company Planalytics, "estimate it will cost about $5 billion because of the sheer size of the population affected—about 200 million people in the eastern two-thirds of the country."

I'm glad the dangerous cold seems to be on its way out and I'm sorry that lives were lost because of it. I sincerely hope that you and yours managed to stay safe and warm.
