On June 15, 16-year-old Ethan Couch killed four pedestrains while driving drunk in Texas. On the horrible night when youth pastor, Brian Jennings; Hollie and Shelby Boyles; and Breanna Mitchell were run over by Couch in his pickup, the teen's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit for an adult. He admitted to being the driver and evidence he had stolen beer from a Walmart in Burleson when he and his friends got into his truck to go to another store. That's when he plowed into four innocent people.

Guess how much jail time he got?

None! Prosecutors were asking for him to be sentenced to 20 years in jail, which is tons of time for a teen, but seems pretty fair considering the consequences of Couch's reckless behavior. But nope, apparently Couch gets to skip out on doing any hard time because he's rich.Yes, that's right! Ethan Couch defense actually argued that he was a poor little rich boy, and State District Judge Jean Boyd agreed. Apparently, Couch suffers from a disease called "affluenza" where he was allowed to get away with everything because he's a spoiled rich kid with terrible parents who never punished him or made him suffer consequences for misbehaving. So clearly, the solution to this grave illness is to once again, let Couch get away with murder...LITERALLY.

I'm sorry, but SCREW that! He killed four people because he was stinkin' drunk and he doesn't have to go to jail because his parents never punished him?! I know lots of poor kids whose parents never punished them either and somehow when they break the law, especially if they kill someone, they end up in jail, they don't get off the hook for having unaffluenza.

Couch was sentenced to 10 years probabtion and is being sent to a treatment facility that costs about $450,000 that his daddy will pay for. I have no problem with him getting treatment and I agree with the judge that he wouldn't get that treatment in jail, BUT I think his ass should have gone to jail after treatment.

My condolences to the families and loved ones of those that Couch killed. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss and for the pain that this ridiculous sentencing must cause as well.
