Texas shooting spree kills 5 people including gunman's mom & aunt
A 36-year-old Texas man was arrested last night after he went on a shooting spree killing five people. Charles Brownlow Jr. was arrested by police for allegedly killing his mother, aunt, three other unidentified people, and convenience store clerk.
Brownlow sent police on a high-speed chase after he was spotted by authorities at the convenience store. Shortly after he crashed his car and fled on foot down a wooded area before police caught up to him.

According to police the incident occurred after neighbors heard gunshots going off in Brownlow's aunt's home where she was found dead. He then made his way to the home he lived in with his mother and killed her as well before taking off in a stolen car. Brownlow also killed two other unidentified people in a home that has a 3-year-old child who was left unharmed.
It wasn't until he got to a convenience store that police were hot on his trail. Unfortunately he killed the store clerk too before rushing out heading back in the direction of his home. Police eventually caught the man who caused a disturbance in a neighborhood residents described as peaceful and united.
Brownlow has a notorious criminal history ranging from burglary, assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana. It is unclear why the man went on a shooting spree as police continue to investigate the matter.
I'll never understand what causes some people to break and just harm their loved ones. Something had to be mentally wrong with Brownlow in order for him to go off and kill all these people, especially his mom and aunt. My thoughts are with his family as their mourn these untimely losses and hope that justice is eventually served.
