The Florida stepmother of Guadalupe Shaw, the teen arrested for bullying a 12-year-old girl who later committed suicide, was also recently detained by police in a separate case of child abuse. Well, you know what they say--the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

Authorities say 30-year-old Vivian Vosburg was booked on charges of abuse and neglect after cops received a tip of a video posted on Facebook of the mother brutally beating one of her kids. Investigators reportedly learned about the shocking clip after Shaw and another 12-year-old girl were arrested for the aggravated stalking of Rebecca Sedwick, who committed suicide in early September.

So let me get this straight--first the kid was arrested for bullying and now the mom? I sense a pattern here...clearly, there is something seriously wrong with this family!

In the graphic footage taken on a cell phone camera, Vosburg can be seen repeatedly punching a boy's head as another boy lies facedown on the floor nearby. A couple of other children are seen laughing while the beating occurs, but it remains unclear who recorded the incident. "They were all laughing, cussing and throwing F-bombs everywhere," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described of the video. "Which clearly indicates to us that this is a normal way of life."

As if that wasn't bad enough, Judd says Vosburg then tried to justify her actions by claiming she "accidentally" hit him. Later, she changed her story, saying the boys "were seriously fighting" and she was "having a bad day." Unbelievable!

Vosburg is now being held without bail while she awaits her sentencing.

Though Vosburg and Shaw's cases are considered separate, I can't help but think that this latest twist of events definitely gives us some insight into where Shaw learned to be so cruel. Obviously, she didn't have the best example at home and perhaps that's why she had no problem lashing out at others around her. Sadly, it's too late to do anything about it now as a young girl has already taken her life and Shaw has already been arrested. But hopefully, Vosburg being punished will send the rest of her kids a clear message: bullying-- at home, in school or anywhere else--is never OK and could come with serious consequences.
