Disgusting dad injects 4-year-old son with heroine to delay divorce
A Washington man is facing first-degree murder charges after he reportedly tried to kill his 4-year-old with heroin and other drugs in order to delay his divorce!
Eric Emil Lehtinen, 37, and his son were found unconscious in their locked home on Tuesday--the day the dad's divorce was scheduled to be finalized. According to police, when Lehitinen's soon-to-be ex-wife removed a blanket from the boy, she was shocked to find a syringe filled with heroin sticking out of his chest. Can you imagine how that poor mom must have felt in that moment? What kind of monster could do such a thing to his own kid?!

The boy had previously been living with his mother in San Francisco in days prior to the incident, but was recently staying with his dad while the woman returned to Seattle for a job interview. Court documents say Lehtinen, who had been married to the child's mother for six years, injected the child with heroine in an attempt to delay the pending divorce.
Traces of other drugs, including ketamine, morphine, and codeine were also found in the child's blood system. The young boy spent several days sedated at the hospital. Now, doctors say they're unsure whether the child, who had puncture wounds from needles all over his body, will suffer long term damage.
The child's mother says that Lehtinen has a history of drug use, but had assured her he had quit and she had seen no reason not to let her son stay with him. The man was officially arrested on Friday after also spending a short period of time in the hospital.
This entire situation is sickening beyond words. I just can't understand how anyone could be cruel enough to purposely put their innocent, helpless child in those life-threatening circumstances--especially for such a selfish reason! My heart breaks to think of how traumatized this little boy must be. I only hope that he is able to recover and doesn't suffer any long-term effects so that he can go on to live a healthy life far away from his low life of a father. As for Lehtinen ... well, if justice is truly served, that bastard will never see the light of day ever again.
