Daycare owner jailed when toddler in her care tests positive for pot! (VIDEO)
A California day care worker was arrested on Wednesday after a toddler in her car was hospitalized for marijuana use, authorities revealed yesterday.
According to police, the 2-year-old girl's parents dropped her off at the day care on Tuesday morning. When they picked her up later that day, she was acting sluggish. But it wasn't until later that they figured out the scary reason why.

Fifty-year-old Roubena Hartounian was arrested after the girl's parents took their daughter to a nearby hospital around midnight and learned she tested positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. After learning the child had spent much of the day at a day care facility, police went to investigate--and what they found was horrifying.
The building did not have functioning toilets or electricity. Meanwhile, the kitchen was covered with dirty dishes and improperly stored knives. The center also contained marijuana pipes and mice droppings. Ew!! I don't know what's worse--that kids were allowed to be in that environment and that no one, including their parents, even noticed.
Code enforcement officials tagged the center as uninhabitable and shut it down. Hartounian is now facing charges of child neglect and endangerment.
Ugh, I feel so bad for all the kids who ever spent time that center! What I don't get is how parents could've possibly overlooked how bad the facilities actually were. From the sound of things, the entire building was in incredibly poor condition ... meaning these moms and dads probably hadn't even checked out the daycare before allowing their child to attend it. Personally, I think that makes them as much to blame as Hartounian.
Regardless, I'm just glad that the child is okay and that center has now been shut down for good.
