Amber Alert: California siblings believed kidnapped by man who murdered their mom (VIDEO)
An Amber Alert was issued in California for a pair of siblings who police believe was kidnapped by a man who killed their mother.
A day after finding 44-year-old Christina Anderson dead inside a burning home near San Diego, authorities are searching for her two kids, 16-year-old Hannah and 8-year-old Ethan. The house was that of 40-year-old James Lee DiMaggio's, a friend of the mothers who is now also the main suspect in her death and the abduction of her kids.
According to law enforcement officials, DiMaggio kidnapped the children after murdering Anderson and setting fire to his home, where authorities also discovered the remains of another child who has not been identified. As of Monday night, DiMaggio was believed to be traveling to either Texas or Canada.
In the issued Amber Alert, DiMaggio is described as a white man with brown hair and eyes who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He may be driving a blue Nissan Versa with California license plate 6WCU986.
There are obviously still a ton of unanswered questions in this case, including what could've possibly driven DiMaggio to commit these horrific crimes in the first place. But for now, the most important thing is to locate those poor kids as soon as possible and get them out of this monster's hands. I just pray that authorities are able to find them before any harm comes their way and bring them home safe and sound. My thoughts go out to them and their family.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of DiMaggio or the children is urged to call 911 or the San Diego County Sheriff's Office at (858) 565-5200.
