Woman denied pedicure at nail salon because she's overweight & it's disgusting (VIDEO)
A simple trip to the nail salon turned out to be a pretty embarrassing situation for one woman who was refused to be seen all because of her weight. Rachel Bascue just wanted to get a pedicure at the Regal Nails Salon in Hot Springs, Arkansas. But employees insisted she was too big to sit in the chairs. Can you believe that? Ugh! Luckily she got in all on video!

Rachel Bascue claims her and her mother have been to Regal Nails Salon before, which is why she was so surprised when staffers harshly turned her away because of her size. "I said, 'I want a pedicure,' he said, 'No you can't fit in the seat," she told WMBF News. She claims that the employees told her right in front of other customers that she would break the chair. Confused and humiliated, Rachel tried hitting up the nail salon again, for the second time in a row and was discriminated once again. But this time she recorded it all on her cell phone.
How messed up is this? No one should EVER be discriminated against like that just because of their size!
Rachel's cell phone recording shows the staffers refusing to see her again. "You cannot over 250," said another employee during her second visit. "You don't fit." Another said, "I tell you too many times, it's not fit for you. It's dangerous. It's for your own benefit." The employees at the salon claim that their insurance's weight restriction policy only covers someone up to 250 pounds. But WMBF News called five other salons, including two other Regal Nail Salon franchises and only one had a weight restriction of up to 350 pounds.
I'm sorry but I'm not 100 percent convinced the employees at this salon turned this woman away just to save their own butts. It's really hard for me to believe that their insurance policy only covers someone up to 250 pounds, considering most nail salons don't even have weight restrictions. And if she was seen before, why was this suddenly an issue? What they did to this woman was cruel and a blatant discrimination. I'm glad she exposed them, now she can go somewhere that will actually appreciate her business, curves and all!
