AJ Clemente officially had the worst first day at work EVER (VIDEO)
North Dakota anchorman A.J. Clemente can honestly claim that he has had the worst first day at a job in history. After he was inadvertently caught cursing on live TV, his flub has gone viral. Clemente was getting ready for his debut as anchor on the evening news for for North Dakota's NBC affiliate KFYR. He seemed to be unaware that he was live and on-air when he dropped the F-bomb followed by Sh-bomb. His co-anchor, Van Tieu, tried to take it in stride, but was clearly taken aback.
Clemente then got a chance to introduce himself, but son of a gun, how do you recover from saying, "F---ing sh-t!" on-camera? Awkward to say the least. So Clemente's first day of work was also his last. He was fired.

Co-anchor Tieu offered the following apology to viewers during the 10pm news hour,
We were caught off guard and [Clemente] didn't realize his microphone was on. And while that was no excuse--we do train our reporters to always assume that any microphone is live at any time--unfortunately we cannot take back what was said. But, we do apologize and hope that you may forgive us and rest assured, that something like this will not happen again.
¡Pobrecito! I say give the guy another chance. Clemente later tweeted about his gaffe and is taking it like a champ. He thanked everyone at his former station for giving him the opportunity and he thanked everyone for their support. He also seems to be okay with laughing at himself. "Rookie mistake. I'm a free agent. Cant help but laugh at myself and stay positive.Wish i didnt trip over my 'Freaking Shoes' out of the gate," he tweeted.
A.J., stay positive. You're young, good-looking, and personable. Someone is going to want to hire you. Plus now you're kind of popular because of your flub. Rest assured that many before you have been fired and gone on to achieve great success. I do believe that even Oprah was told that she was "unfit for television news."
