Mexican authorities have confirmed that the private jet carrying singer Jenni Rivera and six others is missing in the Galeana, Nuevo Leon area since early this morning. No other details have been confirmed regarding the whereabouts of the plane.

All social media platforms are currently filled with rumors that the singer has perished in an accident during a time in her career when she was about to have her big break in English television. On the other hand, Jenni's troubled relationship with her daughter Chiquis, continued to be topic of conversation until the recent days.

Born in California to Mexican parents, La Diva de la Banda (as she is also known) was proudly Latina all the way. She has been facing a very public divorce from professional baseball player Esteban Loaiza.

The small Lear Jet 25 in which Jenni Rivera, the two pilots, an attorney, her makeup artist, her hair stylist and her brother and artistic rep Arturo, were traveling apparently left Monterrey at about 3:30 am and was due in the city of Toluca about an hour later.

According to the promoters of the concert where Jenni performed last night, she had been offered an overnight stay in Monterrey, an offer she declined as she was expected at the recording studio of La Voz, México, at 8:30 am.
