Being in the spotlight has its ups and downs. Having access to the best glam squads, stylists, nutritionists and trainers in the world has to be a plus, but living with the expectation to always be perfect can sometimes be a downfall for a lot of famous women.

Some celebrities have had enough with the pressures of being a size 2 and have chosen a healthier and more relaxed approach to body image--and it all starts with self-love. Crash diets and fad diets can sometimes do more harm than good and plenty of stars have decided that dieting won't be a part of their lives anymore.

More from MamásLatinas: 13 Celebs who embrace their curves & make us love our own

You gotta love people like Demi Lovato for always speaking her mind and keeping things 100. Demi is known not just for her singing but has really become a strong voice in both the mental health awareness and body positivity movement. In fact, she has gotten real about how she's done with dieting and is confident embracing her body as it is--thighs and all! The best part is, she's not the least bit shy or apologetic about any of it. She has previously taken to Instagram to show how happy she is with her legs. "These are what I call no more dieting thighs and I'm proud of them #thickthighssavelives," she captioned a photo.

Stars like Gina Rodriguez, Selena Gomez, Salma Hayek and others have joined Demi and also said enough is enough when it comes to dieting. Here's a look at a few other celebs who have been open about their refusal to diet anymore.

With additional reporting by Johanna Ferreira.

Demi Lovato has opened up about her leg insecurities before. 1

"So, I’m insecure about my legs in this picture but I’m posting it because I look so happy and this year I’ve decided I’m letting go of my perfectionism and embracing freedom from self criticism,” she captioned this gorgeous picture of her rocking a full piece swim suit back in January 2018, before her overdose scare. "Learning to love my body the way it is, is challenging but life changing. Giving up my eating disorder has been the most challenging journey of my life but I work every day towards solid recovering even if I mess up sometimes. Today I’m feeling strong. You all can do it too. It IS possible. Thank you God for this new chapter in my life.” We hope she goes back to this pic and to the place where her heart was at this point to overcome and come out of her dark days.

Riverdale’s Camila Mendes is done with dieting too. 2

She recently shared a post to IG about her food anxieties and her decision to stop obsessing over weight and dieting. "When did being thin become more important than being healthy? I recently went to a naturopath for the first time in my life,” she wrote. "I told her about my anxiety around food and my obsession with dieting. She phrased a pivotal question in such a way that struck a chord with me: What other things could you be thinking about if you didn’t spend all your time thinking about your diet? I suddenly remembered all the activities I love that used to occupy my time. At some point in my life, I allowed my obsession with being thin to consume me, and I refused to make room in my mind for any other concerns. Somehow I had stripped myself of all the pastimes that brought me joy, and all that was left of me was my anxiety around food … I’m sick of the toxic narrative that the media consistently feeds us: That being thin is the ideal body type. A healthy body is the ideal body type, and that will look different for every person. I’m #donewithdieting – join me in this movement and share your story!”

Gina Rodriguez has opened up about her battle with weight. 3

"It’s always been a battle for me with weight," Gina said in a cover story in Health magazine’s September 2016 issue. "Keeping weight off is very difficult because my metabolism is pretty much shot, which to me felt like a curse when I was 19. The Jane The Virgin actress suffers from Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune disease that can result in excess thyroid hormones (hyperthyroidism) and result in symptoms like fatigue or weight gain. She hasn’t let it keep her down, though. "As an actress, I was like, ‘Seriously?! In a world that’s so vain, I have to deal with the disease that makes you not keep weight off? But it actually became a blessing because then I got to represent not only women and Latinas, but also women who are dealing with this disease.”

Denise Bidot is all about embracing her curves. 4

The plus-size model, body positivity activist, and founder of the No Wrong Way movement, has been very open about how she embraces everything from her weight, size, curves, and stretch marks. "It's an honor to be in the @lanebryant ad featured in the pages of the 2017 @si_swimsuit, completely unretouched. It’s amazing to be a part of the change that’s helping women see once and for all that nobody is perfect. We can still be beautiful in spite of our imperfections. It’s time we celebrate each other and learn to love the skin we are in," she captioned this photo.

She even opened up about how she learned to love her thick thighs. "I used to be made fun of for having a big butt (a "watermelon ass," they’d cal lit!) and big legs," she told Today. "Now I reflect on it, and I realize my butt matches my legs. They look good together. This is mass. This is volume. This is strength. This is what makes me Dascha and what makes me unique from everyone else." Dascha has been feeling her legs so much she even made a point to go pant-less at New York Fashion Week back in September, 2016. It was amazing!
