This is how Kim Kardashian lost 70 lbs. after the birth of Saint West
Scrolling through Kim Kardashian's Instagram page, I can't help but notice how fit she's been looking lately. In fact, Kim hasn't looked this hot since before she was pregnant with her 4-year-old daughter, North. Her waist is tiny, her abs are tight and her body overall looks toned AF! What is her secret you ask? Fortunately for all of us, her personal nutritionist was generous enough to share some of her weightless secrets with Elite Daily.

Kim's personal nutritionist is Colette Heimowitz, Vice President of Education and Nutrition at Atkins, which isn't exactly a surprise considering how much Kim loves the Atkins diet. If you're wondering how the hell she managed to lose 70 pounds after her second pregnancy, be ready to take some notes because Heimowitz happily spilled all the beans.
"Kim knows what to do right now. She's been doing this a long time," Heimowitz said. "She lost 60 pounds with the first pregnancy, 70 pounds with the next pregnancy, she did it in college with her dad. She gets the carbohydrate control mentality. She knows how to cheat when she doesn't want to lose weight, she knows which things are best for her and which carbohydrates to choose, so she kind of knows what to do at this point." Okay, but what does she do exactly?
"Make sure you have adequate protein (because protein keeps you satisfied, you control your hunger), when you pick carbohydrates, pick the highest fiber carbohydrates available and make sure you include some kind of healthy fat with the meal. If you follow those three basic rules, you'll cut back on sugar and carbohydrates, and you'll be healthier in the long run. And what's it!"
That's great and all, but Heimowitz doesn't elaborate on what proteins Kim is actually eating. I guess we can assume that she's consuming lean proteins like organic chicken, fish and eggs. She's probably also loading up on vegetarian proteins like lentils, spinach, kale, broccoli, and Brussel sprouts. But again, Heimowitz didn't actually mention any of that. As for carbohydrates that are loaded in fiber, that usually entails foods like quinoa, brown rice and things of that nature.
The good news is that Kim's diet is more of a lifestyle change versus a diet if you really think about it. Heimowitz even added that doing these small changes is actually a lot more flexible and inexpensive than you'd think.
I picked up a few pounds from the holiday that I've been struggling to lose, so you better bet that I'll be trying out a few of Kim K's tips ASAP! After all--I want that bikini bod by summer.
