Staying hydrated is one of the biggest keys to keeping your tummy trim. When you're hydrated, you're not bloated. And so your stomach looks flatter than it would if you were missing out on your 8-10 glasses of water a day.

Instead of overindulging over the holidays and beyond, sticking to small, well-portioned meals thoughout the day will help keep your stomach flat. This helps with bloating, too, and your tummy will thank you for it.
Don't Chew Gum 3
Chewing gum isn't necessarily bad for you, but it's not going to do you any favors if you want to look slimmer. Chewing will cause small air bubbles to enter your system, and contribute to that nasty bloated feeling.
Have Your Protein 5
That's right! You should be having your protein, and eating it too. Eating carb-heavy meals with lots of rice and beans are delicious, but keeping up with your protein intake (with supplements and shakes if needed) is more important.
Ignore Boredom 6
What happens when you're bored? Be honest... That's right, we reach for chips and other snacks. Instead, keep yourself busy all day long and you won't reach for those "bad" foods that will have you gaining weight.
