I'm excited to have FINALLY found a tasty green smoothie to help in my plan to lose weight, something I can have between meals to flush away toxins. I'm even more excited to learn of all the health benefits packed in this quick and simple recipe. It's not only the smart green leaves that make of this smoothie a must-try, but also the seeds and the fruits chosen for a blend of vitamin C, Omega-3's, antioxidants, fiber that your body will thank you for. Kale and apple green detox smoothie
Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:
1 cup of kale leaves 
1 cup of spinach leaves
1 cup of apple juice (not from concentrate) 
1/2 lemon
1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds or chia seeds
½ of a green apple, peeled and cored
1 ripe large banana
Ice cubes

Directions:
Add all ingredients, except for the ice cubes, to a blender and pulse until smooth. Add ice cubes and blend until smoothie consistency is achieved.

Enjoy!
