When I say you should eat the way a baby eats, I'm not saying you have to throw food against the wall or live off baby food. The key might be because they choose what they eat, how they eat it, and when they eat. Registered dietician Keri Glassman explains that children are unaffected by stress or the media, and don't know what cravings are which is why they don't emotionally eat.

As you know, mindless noshing and emotional eating are ways that you can pack on those unwanted pounds. Check out the ways you can shed the baby weight all by mimicking your infant's eating habits!

Chew your food thoroughly: If you've ever noticed, babies take their time eating and studies have shown that the slower you eat the fewer calories you take in.

Push your plate away: While your child might toss a food bowl, you can avoid the mess by pushing your plate away. Often times we rush to get a second serving of food, but don't take time to listen to our bodies when it's full. Most importantly, ONLY eat when you're hungry.

Eat snacks: Babies are always snacking and usually it's on healthy food such as fruits and veggies. By snacking, you're stabilizing blood sugar levels which keep you from overeating during your next meal.

Be picky about what you eat: If you're not enjoying what you're eating you won't feel satisfied. Babies only choose foods they like and won't have it any other way.

Control those portions: Babies have baby food jars which measure out what they need to eat. As adults we can also benefit learning to eyeball the amount of food we should put on your plate. This will keep you from overeating and consuming extra calories.
