I have to be honest: I am the worst runner ever. Seriously. I'm the worst runner ever because, despite wanting to make sure I keep the weight off and doing a couple races in the past few months, I can barely ever keep it up. I don't think I've even been able to run consistently for more than 3 weeks. It's a problem, I know. And I feel all the worse for it because I know how great running can be for burning calories and keeping your heart healthy.

If you aren't lacing up those sneakers by the end of reading this, then you're doing a real disservice to yourself—and your family! Don't you think your family wants you to be healthy and live longer, too? I know I sure do! I am getting back to running and I am doing it TODAY. The study, which was just presented at the EuroPRevent2012 conference in Dublin, Ireland, tracked 20,000 men and women between the ages of 20 to 93 since 1976. Basically, they know what they're talking about! Dr. Peter Schnohr, chief cardiologist of the study said:

We can say with certainty that regular jogging increases longevity. The good news is that you don't actually need to do that much to reap the benefits. You should aim to feel a little breathless, but not very breathless.

Are you planning to start jogging after this news?
