Among the miraculous benefits of mamey sapote, are its medicinal properties. It's used to treat certain digestive ailments and is great for constipation. The beauty industry too is taking advantage of mamey's hidrating properties and it's said to hep eyelashes grow!
If you cant find mamey in your produce section, head over to the frozens aisle. Enjoy this smoothie every week or every day if you want.
Makes: 2 servings
1 ripe mamey peeled and cubed (about 2 cups)
2 cups skim milk
2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup
1 teaspoon of salt
Add all ingredients, except for the ice cubes, to a blender and pulse until smooth. Add ice cubes and blend until smoothie consistency is achieved.
