Semen cocktails are now a thing, leaves some gagging

When you're having your favorite cocktail, have you ever stopped and thought that semen would make it taste better? If not, then mixologist, Paul "Fotie" Photenhauer is here to change that for you. Photenhauer has written his second book titled, Semenology: The Semen Bartender's Handbook intended to teach you how to create your own cocktail using ingredients such as mint leaves, lemon zest, and you guessed it…semen.

This wouldn't be the first time we hear about Photenhauer's semen infused creations. Remember when he first came out with Natural Harvest: A Collection of Semen-Based Recipes?  But the thought of mixing my favorite Jameson and ginger with semen is the FURTHEST thing on my mind. Although... he might be on to something

Photenhauer explained to SF Weekly that by drinking your OWN semen, your sex life can reep from the benefits. He said: "If you want your partner to swallow, you should be willing to eat your own semen -- I mean, it's your semen." If this sounds somewhat bizarre, his reasoning is surprisingly sound.

The author explains that he first got the idea to write his cookbooks after he attended a friend's dinner party in 2006 and a conversation focused on swallowing and spitting was had. He noticed that the concept of semen-swallowing was still taboo and that most people would like their partners to swallow during the act but weren't willing to reciprocate.

The point of his books are to get people comfortable with the idea of swallowing something that's natural--especially since humans eat stranger things. He says:

"People eat all kinds of weird shit. Eggs are the menstruation of chickens. Milk is the mammary excretion from cows. Semen is... at least it's fresh and you know who the producer is."

Of course, Photenhauer doesn't believe you should swallow just ANY semen. In fact, he is only willing to consume semen from someone he's intending on being sexually involved with. However, the one cause of concern is potential diseases such as STDS found in the gooey substance. In that circumstance the mixologist says that foods containing the infected semen should be thoroughly cooked. But he says you're better off getting your protein through animal meat. Risky, but okay...

And even though he might sound like a crazy person, he doesn't advise going around serving the semen of strangers to guests in your home without their knowledge because it's "gross." Shocking as it may sound, I kind of agree with his method.

Although I don't think infusing cocktails with semen is the greatest idea, there is some logic behind his reasoning. He is right that the concept of "swallowing" is still taboo to this day and some people want certain things done in the bedroom but aren't willing to do the same for their partner.  Naturally, the fear of consuming any potential diseases remains in question, but at least he's trying to find a way to help people have fulfilling sex lives. And while some may be okay with it, maybe for those less willing to take the risk, there are other ways to get this message across.
