I love the warm weather and spending time outside tanning and grilling good food, but by far my favorite part about summer is fruity cocktails! I mean, what kind of Latina would I be if I didn't love my margaritas and piña coladas?

That's why, even though summer is ending, I couldn't resist but share these absolutely amazing 6 fruity Latin drinks that are DEFINITELY going to be the highlight of your summer! Whether it's starting off with the smoky watermelon-jalapeño margarita (if you like it spicy and sweet), the mangojito (that's a mango mojito), an avocado daiquiri (WHAT?!), some sparkling pink grapefruit sangria (my personal favorite), a banana split leite de onça (cause how can you not LOVE this Brazilian fave?) or the always dependable classic piña colada, get ready to really enjoy the last few weeks of warm weather with a delicious drink in your hand!

Smoky Watermelon-Jalapeño Margarita

Ingredients: 1 jalapeño chile pepper, 2 ounces tequila (I used a Blanco, or white, un-aged tequila for this), 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice, 1 ounce watermelon puree, 3/4 ounce agave nectar/syrup, Hickory smoked salt for rimming the glass

Directions:
Muddle the jalapeno in a shaker or a pint glass. Add the tequila, lime juice, watermelon puree and agave nectar.  Shake with ice and strain into a double old fashioned glass filled with fresh ice and rimmed with hickory smoked salt.  Garnish with a slice of watermelon and lime wedge.
