David's partner shared a statement about his passing.
David's partner of 18 years, Isa, shared a statement about him with TMZ and said how loving he was. "He was kind and loving. He never held on to anything and was always very open. He was a devoted father, he helped raise his step-son who is now in the Marines," she wrote. "He loved the Yankees and Knicks. He loved going to the theatre with me. My favorite moment was family date night, because it wasn't just special for me but for the kids as well. He always made sure to end things with an 'I love you.'"
Jennifer and David dated for 10 years.
Jennifer reportedly started dating David back in high school in the mid-1980s, when she was 15 years old. He is just a year older than she is, and the pair dated for a decade before going their separate ways in the mid-1990s. The former couple attended the movie Money Train premiere together in Los Angeles, California, in November 1995, before J.Lo became a household name in Hollywood.
Jen has yet to comment on his death.
The superstar has yet to make a comment on the death of her ex-boyfriend. Throughout her career, J.Lo has rarely spoken ill of any of her exes and even referred to David as "a friend" in an interview from 2004. "He's a friend, and he probably knows me better than anyone else," she said at the time.
