The coronavirus has brought the world together in unforeseeable ways. COVID-19 has proven to affect everyone, young and old, rich and poor, with no exceptions. The virus has shown that it has no boundaries when it comes to who is prone to being exposed, and it has even hit some major Hollywood A-listers. 

Thousands of new cases are reported around the world daily, and now celebrities are taking to social media to report their own positive diagnoses. Stars like Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and Idris Elba are among some of the big names in the entertainment world who have contracted the virus. Royals like Prince Charles and Prince Albert II of Monaco have also tested positive.

The sports world has also been heavily affected by the pandemic. European soccer players have shared their diagnoses with fans, while the National Basketball Association was forced to suspend its 2019-2020 season after a player from the Utah Jazz team was confirmed to have the coronavirus. These stars are constantly traveling and are often exposed to large crowds of people, so it's understandable for them to be dealing with this as well.

Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth's oldest son and heir to the British throne, tested positive for the coronavirus. It was reported on March 25 that the Prince of Wales, who is 71 years old, was tested for the virus since he met the criteria for a test because of his age and his medical history. He and wife Camilla are self-isolating in Scotland. She tested negative.

Harvey, who is 68, tested positive for the virus. It was reported that the disgraced Hollywood producer was infected at New York prison Rikers Island, where he was briefly serving time before being transferred upstate to the Wende Correctional Facility in Buffalo. He is reportedly still in isolation, and he is “doing well” and “breathing on his own” and has shown no symptoms. The convicted rapist is serving a 23-year sentence.

Prince Albert II of Monaco became one of the first political figures to  publicly share a positive diagnosis. He became the first reigning monarch and head of state to reveal he tested positive. "His Serene Highness urges the people of Monaco to respect the measures of confinement and to limit contact with others to a minimum," a palace statement said, adding that he was practicing self-isolation. He was treated at the Princess Grace Hospital, named after his famous mother, American actress Grace Kelly.

TV host Andy Cohen revealed he was diagnosed with the virus. 4

"After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus. As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better," the TV personality shared with his fans on Instagram. "I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves."

Actress Debi Mazar shared her story of being diagnosed. 5

"I have just tested positive for Covid-19. I AM OK! About a month ago my entire home(husband and two teen daughters) got an odd bug. Low grade fever, headaches, sore throat, body aches, ears ringing and a dry cough. It cleared up quickly. Seasonal I thought? but it felt unusual/different," the Goodfellas actress captioned her post, adding that she had to wait to get tested, even though she felt ill, and is now at home recovering and advised people to do the same. "One day I feel crappy and the next I’m normal.Today my lungs are heavy,but I’m tough."

ESPN confirmed that the NBA star was among four Brooklyn Nets players to test positive for the coronavirus. Kevin told The Athletic that he is feeling fine and is not showing any symptoms. "Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine," he said. "We're going to get through this."

Idris Elba shared his diagnosis with fans. 7

"This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus," he tweeted on March 16 along with a video message he filmed alongside his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba. "Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic."

Actor Daniel Dae Kim, who is famous for his roles in Lost and the Netflix hit Always Be My Baby, revealed that he has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. He shared on social media that he believes that he contracted the virus while filming the television series New Amsterdam in New York City.

When the actor revealed in March that he had been tested and diagnosed with the coronavirus, fans were shocked. He was among the first stars to publicly announce his condition. The actor said he contracted the virus while shooting a movie in Australia, where he was hospitalized and held in isolation.

Along with her husband, Tom Hanks, Rita was tested for COVID-19 while in Australia and tested positive. She was there performing shows while he filmed an Elvis Presley biopic, and both were hospitalized and in isolation after being diagnosed with the virus.

The Pasión de Gavilanes televenovela star revealed on Instagram that she had tested positive for the coronavirus while in Madrid, Spain, and is now in isolation. "I have coronavirus, but my symptoms are positive so I'm in isolation," she said. "The symptoms aren't life or death, we're not out of breath or having trouble breathing."

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau tested positive. 13

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, tested positive for the coronavirus and had to self-isolate for 14 days along with the prime minister and their three kids. The office of the prime minister said she started having a low-grade fever and other mild flu-like symptoms and had to be tested. "The test came back positive," the statement said. "She is feeling well, is taking all the recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild." The office also noted that the prime minister himself "is in good health with no symptoms."

"Greetings from Norway!" the Game of Thrones actor said on Instagram. "Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Corona virus. My familiy and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health - I only have mild symptoms of a cold. There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1,5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading."

He added: "Together we can fight this virus and avert a crisis at our hospitals. Please take care of each other, keep your distance, and stay healthy! Please visit your country's Center for Disease Control's website, and follow the regulations for staying safe and protecting not just yourselves, but our entire community, and especially those at risk like the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions."

The Juventus soccer player shared a post on Instagram to address his fans and shared an update about his condition. "You will have read the news and that's why I want to reassure all those who are worrying about me, I'm fine," he captioned the post. "At this moment, however, I feel even more duty to thank all the doctors and nurses who are struggling in hospitals to face this emergency. I urge everyone to respect the rules, because this virus makes no distinctions! Let's do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us. #thank you."

Olga Kurylenko revealed she felt sick for over a week. 16

"Locked up at home after having tested positive for Coronavirus," the Quantum of Solace star shared in her first post confirming her diagnosis in March. "I’ve actually been ill for almost a week now. Fever and fatigue are my main symptoms. Take care of yourself and do take this seriously!"
 
She then shared a lengthy Instagram post answering fans' questions. "Thank you to everyone who has sent me well wishes, I’m overwhelmed with everyone’s kindness. I wanted to take this opportunity to answer the most common questions that I’ve been asked regarding Coronavirus. Why I’m not in hospital? Because hospitals are full and they are only taking patients that are struggling with life, if I understand correctly. I was told that if I get worse to call an ambulance," she shared. "Where I got tested? In the hospital when an ambulance took me there after I called because my fever was over 39. How did I get tested? They took a swab from my throat. Where did I get coronavirus? Impossible to know. It could be anywhere. I could have touched a taxi handle and gotten it from there. It’s on surfaces! For a week my temperature was stable 38. Sometimes up to 38.5. Today it’s come down 🙏."

Rudy Gobert opened up about his situation on Twitter. 17

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the deadly virus and addressed the public in a video shared on the NBA Twitter account. "I'm going to start by saying thank you to all the people who have been supportive and all the positive energy, it really means a lot," Gobert said. "As for myself I've been feeling better every single day, thanks to the health care people of Utah, Oklahoma City and all the people around me," he said. "As you already know, I just want to remind you to keep washing your hands, try to avoid touching your face and try to avoid making unnecessary contact with people. It's all about protecting yourself and people around you. I wish I would've taken this thing more seriously and I hope everyone else will do so because we can do it together. Take care, and stay safe."

NBA star Donovan Mitchell also tested positive. 18

The Utah Jazz player said he showed no symptoms of being sick before testing positive for the coronavirus, but he remained in isolation. "Thanks to everyone who has been reaching out since hearing the news about my positive test," he captioned a post on Instagram. "We are all learning more about the seriousness of this situation and hopefully people can continue to educate themselves and realize that they need to behave responsibly both for their own health and for the well being of those around them." 

He went on to add: "I appreciate the authorities in Oklahoma who were helpful with the testing process and everyone from the @utahjazz who have been so supportive. I am going to keep following the advice of our medical staff and hope that we can all come together and be there for each other and our neighbors who need our help."

Christian Wood is also dealing with the virus. 19

The basketball player from the Detroit Pistons has tested positive for the coronavirus, adding to the list of NBA players who are affected by the virus. The athlete was said to have reported flu-like symptoms prior to his diagnosis. 

CBS News correspondent Seth Doane tested positive. 20

The CBS News correspondent is based in Rome, Italy, and he confirmed on Instagram that he tested positive for the disease. "I tested positive for #COVID19--got the results Saturday night," he wrote along with a photo of himself being tested. "So far, so good--these symptoms are manageable--I’m lucky. We’ve been in strict quarantine since I learned I’d been exposed to confirmed positive cases. I’m going live on @cbsthismorning at 7:30 today to discuss this. It’s vital people know if they have coronavirus and it’s key that anyone they came into contact with goes into quarantine. We have to stop the community spread of this. I’m trying to be open with this to try to increase awareness, encourage dialogue.. and stop the spread of this terrible virus. I’m not thrilled about talking about this publicly but I think it’s important. Thanks for all the ❤️ we’ve felt from family and friends. (Italian health authorities - pictured here coming to test us at home - have been incredible and are calling twice a day to check symptoms) 🇮🇹 ❤️."
