Alex shared the cutest video of their sweetest moments together.
A-Rod took J.Lo on a romantic trip to the Bahamas in 2019, and that's when he popped the question. "One year ago on a beach in the Bahamas…. I was a nervous wreck, more nervous than my entire playing career, I got down on one knee and asked you a question… you said yes ❤️," he captioned the video. "Jennifer, every moment with you is a blessing. You are my best friend, my inspiration, an amazing mother, and a role model to all. Macha, I am so lucky to be with you. Thank you for making my life better. I can’t wait to make more memories with you. I love you. #HappyAnniversary ❤️."
Jennifer reposted the video and wrote a meaningful message.
She left a comment underneath Alex's post saying that she loves him. She then posted the video he made with the most adorable caption. "I had a dream...(in my Billie Eilish voice) 🎶☺️... except it was real...Everyday with you is an exciting, beautiful adventure," she captioned the clip. "The best is yet to come... and what a dream it all is and will always be... Te amo Amor 💗💍#1yearagothishappened."
The couple shocked the world with their announcement.
After she said yes, Alex shared a photo of the beautiful engagement ring he got for his fiancée. He shared the post with a simple, "She said yes." Their famous friends and fans were delighted to know the couple would soon be tying the knot.
The pair is in no rush to walk down the aisle.
Jennifer has been married before and she admittedly said she has hurried to altar in the past, but A-Rod assured her there is no need for that since they plan to spend forever together. She recently sat down with Oprah and said "it doesn't matter" when they tie the knot, as long as they are together. "It's so funny because when we first got engaged I was like, 'Oooo, we're gonna get married in a couple months?!' Your old thinking comes right back, all that hopeless romantic [stuff] that made me get married three times," she said. "He's like, 'Whatever you want to do, we can talk about it.' I said, 'But if we're going to be together for the rest of our lives, what is the rush? If that's what we're really going to do, if we're really going to be partners.'"
She added: "If we're really going to try to build something together that we both never had or both never felt like we had, which was a family with a husband and a wife, and a mother and a father, and we embrace all of our children and we show them something that we didn't have."
