Why did Thomas Markle film the documentary in the first place?
Apparently, he feels that everyone "owes" him, and since they aren't paying up, he is getting paid elsewhere. He said:
"I don't care. At this point, they owe me. The royals owe me. Harry owes me, Meghan owes me. What I've been through I should be rewarded for. My daughter told me that when I reach my senior years she'll take care of me. I'm in my senior years now; it's time to look after Daddy."
The pictures of Meghan shared in the documentary are undeniably adorable.
There are pictures of Meghan all throughout her childhood. She looks happy, healthy, and very loved. It also appears that back then, unlike now, she was very close to her dad.
Mr. Markle talks about how he felt when he first saw Meghan.
"When she was born I couldn’t have been happier. They handed her to me, I saw her face, her little fingers wrapped around my fingers, and that was it; I was in love. I just knew she was going to be special. I was just knocked out by that child. She was just beautiful, and I just couldn’t put her down," he said.
Will the documentary even make it to the States?
There is a rumored bidding war going on between TV execs who are trying to get the US rights for the documentary. "Talks are ongoing with the major networks in the US--once a deal is done the film could be shown within days, depending on whether they want to change their schedule," a source revealed.
