Prince Harry made sure to use the opportunity to pitch his wife's work.
The couple met with other fellow attendees who were part of the Disney film, including Beyoncé and Elton John. While at the time people mostly focused on Beyoncé and the duchess meeting for the first time and their embrace, the important conversation was happening between Harry and the Disney chief.
Now a video with audio of the conversation has surfaced.
Harry began the conversation with the CEO by saying, "You know she does voice-overs, right?" The executive reacted with a surprised tone, and the duke followed it with, "She's really interested." Iger then says "We'd love to try." What a great husband! Not only is he proudly speaking about his wife's voice-over skills but also setting her up with someone powerful who could give her a major work opportunity.
The video surfaced after it was announced that Meghan signed a deal with Disney.
The video from July resurfaced after it was reported on Saturday, June 11, that the duchess signed a deal with Disney to do voice-over work. The newspaper The Times reported that she will be doing a voice-over for a Disney project in exchange for a donation to the wildlife charity Elephants Without Borders.
