Cardi B is heading back to the big screen in a major way. Vin Diesel announced on Instagram on Tuesday, October 22, that the rapper had joined the cast of the upcoming Fast & Furious 9. The movie is currently in production and slated to hit theaters in 2020, and the Grammy winner is making a cameo appearance.

More from MamásLatinas: Cardi B's inspiring transformation through the years

Following the success of her first movie, Hustlers, earlier this year, it makes sense why Cardi joined this cast. After all, the Fast & Furious movies have always included appearances by some big names in music, and the franchise is also loved by Latino audiences.

Cardi B made a surprise appearance on Vin's Instagram.

The actor shared a video from day 86 on the set for the upcoming film in England, and the rapper was sitting by his side. They were both exhausted from a full day of filming but were still all smiles.

"I'm tired, but I can't wait! I ain't going to front. I think this is going to be the best one," Cardi said. Vin added: "We're so blessed, the last day of filming in the UK. All love always." He revealed the movie will be in theaters in May 2020.

Cardi is not the only new star who has joined the cast.

Singer Ozuna will also be appearing in the film. The hitmaker posed for a snap with Vin that the actor recently shared on Instagram with a powerful message praising his acting skills.

"As you know, we have often found great talent in the music industry to cross over into film. They are expected to leave all the accolades at the door to embrace the character with integrity... and that is exactly what Ozuna has done," the xXx actor wrote. "Very proud of your work and role in Fast 9! Pa Mi Gente! All Love, Always."

John Cena has also been added to the cast.

Professional wrestler John Cena is also part of the cast in the new film, and Vin told fans that they will be "blown away" with his role and his character. John also told fans that they are in for a "wild ride." It's not the first time someone from the WWE joined the Fast & Furious franchise. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson starred in the previous movies, but he and Vin had a falling out after The Rock did a spin-off movie, Hobbs & Shaw, without the approval of the rest of the cast.

Don Omar might also be reprising his role as Santos.

The reggaetonero has appeared in several of the franchise's installments as Santos, and he and Vin shared photos of him in London as the cast filmed the ninth film. They didn't confirm if he would be appearing in the upcoming film, but it's good to see him hanging out with his Fast & Furious family.

Michelle Rodriguez also shared some photos from the set.

"Close to the finish line of the 9th installment of the Fast & Furious Saga. England has treated us well, the crew has been amazing & this feature has been so open to the feminine voice I’m happy to see the women kill it on set," she captioned this pic. "Much love to the team that keeps the legacy thriving & to all the fans 💞 your loyalty & love keeps me grounded, I hope you all enjoy what’s in store for this next one, it’s got a lot of surprises."

We can't wait! The movie is slated to hit theaters on May 22, 2020.
