The former couple have been fighting in court for years. The businessman sued his ex to seek full custody of their frozen embryos. Sofía had refused to allow Nick to bring them to term after their split. Sofía fought back, saying that their contract stated that they both had to consent.

The businessman was asking for $120,000 in legal fees, but the court ruled it could not justify the full fees he was seeking and reduced the amount by 35%. "The Court finds that there is no alternative method of calculating a fee award that would yield a more accurate or just result, and that a further reduction would be insufficient to compensate Defendant for the attorney's fees and costs incurred in pursuing the anti-SLAPP motion," the court document states

The actress seems to have found her happy ending after all.

Sofía dated Nick for four years, starting in 2010, before calling it quits in 2014. According to court documents, they underwent the in-vitro fertilization process to have a child together during their relationship, and two pre-embryos were created. Sofía was against Nick having full custody of the embryos after they broke up, and she married actor Joe Manganiello in 2015.
