For a lot of royal fans, it seemed like Meghan Markle's life would be a fairy tale after she married Prince Harry. In a new interview with ITV News, set to air on Sunday, October 20, the former Suits actress opened up about what it's been like to deal with the constant pressures that come with living in the spotlight. The duchess has been severely criticized by some British news outlets, and she revealed that she is "not OK." Soon after the video was shared on Twitter, the hashtag #WeLoveYouMeghan began trending on Friday, October 18, with fans showing their support.

Harry opened up about how stressful his role as a royal is, especially because of his late mom, Princess Diana.

"News at Ten" anchor Tom Bradby traveled with the royal couple and their baby on their tour of Africa for an ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. He got to chat with both of them and they shared how it has been dealing with the spotlight and the media's treatment of Meghan since she became a royal. The prince was asked about his mom's death and he said, "It's probably a wound that festers."

"I think being part of this family, and this role, and this job, every single time I see a camera, every single time I hear a click, every time I see a flash, it takes me straight back," he said. "In that respect, it's the worst reminder of her life as opposed to the best." His mom, Princess Diana, died in a car accident while being followed by paparazzi.

"Everything that I do reminds me of her," Harry added. "With the role, with the job and the sorts of pressures that come with that, I get reminded of the bad stuff."

Meghan revealed how vulnerable she felt while pregnant, saying that not many people asked how she was coping.

Meghan shared that she was "vulnerable" when she was pregnant and after she welcomed her child in May. "You add this on top of just being  a new mom, or trying to be a newlywed--it's..." she said, trailing off. "Also, thank you for asking. Not many people have asked if I’m OK, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

It's hard to not see the sadness in her eyes or hear the discomfort in her voice. When the reporter asked her what her answer was to whether or not she was OK after dealing with the intense pressure, she agreed that she was not.

While Meghan was an actress when she met Harry, she was not used to this much attention from the media--especially not in the negative light that she is often portrayed in. Harry has been vocal about his fear of his mom's unfair treatment from the press to be repeated through his wife.
