The cover is so gorgeous!
Not only did she reveal when the book is coming out and the gorgeous cover, but she also shared her inspiration behind it. "Through this journey, I’ve learned that being fit is not about conforming to a specific look or size; it is about creating a healthy lifestyle and feeling great all around," she wrote. "This is what this program will help you to do. It will help you how to embrace what’s already amazing about your body and build on it, so you can strut your stuff with the confidence you deserve. And by the way.. this is not your average keto book. We will not be counting calories or macros. We will not be peeing on sticks. And we will not be beating ourselves up if we aren’t in a state of ketosis 24/7."
She added: "This is keto done my way, and for all my fellow chingonas who don’t mind bending the rules, but want to reap the benefits of a happy and healthy lifestyle. Let’s do this!"
Chiquis partnered with her personal trainer for the book.

Chiquis announced that she had teamed up with her personal trainer, Sarah Koudouzian, after trying the diet for a year. "You’ve seen me in the kitchen and hash tagging #Chi-Keto. Over a year in the making and I’m overwhelmed with joy to have partnered up with my girl and trainer @sarahkoudouzian to announce the upcoming launch of our Keto-friendly book," she captioned the Instagram post on Tuesday, October 8. "I’ve struggled with diets in the past and was always so hard on myself because I wasn’t a certain size. Not gonna lie, some of those comments about my weight got to me in the past."
Before this announcement, Chiquis was already giving her fans a taste of the keto lifestyle.
She embraced the "Chi-Keto" brand by sharing short videos on YouTube of herself preparing some keto-friendly meals and snacks. Chiquis knows that limiting yourself with strict diets can make life feel a little bland, so it's important that she has found something that works for her and is now sharing it with the world in her book.
A year after she started the diet, she does look amazing.
The ketogenic diet focuses on a low-carb, high-fat diet, where people get most of their calories from their protein intake. It is said to lower blood sugar and insulin levels, causing the body's metabolism to focus on burning stored fat. We're sure Chiquis will put a Mexican spin on the keto diet and we look forward to checking out her tequila, tacos, and tortilla recipes when the book comes out in April 2020.
