This is definitely Jennifer Lopez's year--and now Shakira has joined in on the fun. The Latina superstars will be joining forces when they take on the world's biggest stage at the 2020 Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show. The stars confirmed the news on Thursday, September 26 on social media.

The singers are set to perform during the NFL's annual championship game taking place next year at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, February 2. The two powerhouses have not collaborated musically in the past but they are definitely some of the world's biggest entertainers, so it is bound to be a show fans won't forget.

The singers teased the announcement with photos of each other.

Shakira shared this cryptic photo of Jennifer with her face cut off and captioned it: "Get ready 🌎 02.02.20." J.Lo wore a Pepsi ring in the photo, and since the event is sponsored by the company, fans began speculating that it was a Super Bowl announcement.

The jewelry gave the news away in this pic, but few suspected Shakira was involved. "This is happening. 🌎 02.02.20," J.Lo captioned the snap.

They then both shared a photo of the full announcement.

They both look incredible! J.Lo captioned it: "Going to set the world on 🔥🔥🔥 @shakira #PepsiHalftime #SuperBowlLIV @pepsi." The Colombian singer also shared the pic and captioned it: "It doesn’t get any bigger than this! So excited about getting on that #SuperBowlLIV #PepsiHalftime stage! 🤩🔥#nosvemosMiami #happybirthdaytomeee." Shak's birthday is on the same day, so what better way to celebrate than by performing at the Super Bowl?

Speculation recently began circulating about Jennifer doing the halftime show.

The singer has been evading questions about a halftime performance for months. It was reported in August that she was already in talks to do the show, but she couldn't confirm until it was finalized. Now that it's official, it's time to celebrate that two of our favorite Latina stars will be taking on the most watched event on television.
