Jennifer Lopez has the perfect blend of humility mixed with the attitude of knowing that she's worked hard for everything she has accomplished in her career. With acting credits that go back nearly three decades, the actress's latest role as Ramona in the movie Hustlers might just be what film critics are looking for in order to regard her as an actor worthy of being in the Oscars conversation.

The movie has yet to hit theaters, but movie critics are already giving her performance rave reviews, and some have said that this might be the movie that lands J.Lo her first Academy Award nomination. All that Oscars buzz and conversation has already made her super emotional, and after being a romantic comedy favorite, this might just be Jen's box office comeback and her first shot at winning an Oscar.

Jen was super emotional after hearing the reviews for her movie.

The actress sat down with Hoda Kotb for her Sirius XM show, and the host read her reviews from different publications that said she was poised to get nominated for an Oscar for this role. "I've just been working hard for so long, for my whole life, so it's nice," she said while tearing up. Jen couldn't hold in the excitement, and it's natural for her to feel that after so long. It's a good feeling to feel seen.

"I mean, you know, you work hard your whole life and you wonder if anybody notices in a sense, like, on that level, to be in that conversation," she said. "You have dreams when you're a little girl of being there...and so just to even talk about--we're not even there! Just to talk about it is amazing!"

Not only is there Oscars buzz, but the movie is slated to be a giant box office success.

The actress is no stranger to being part of successful movies, but in recent years her movies haven't had as much of an impact on box office sales. This movie, which has already obtained a 96% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes, is said to be her box office comeback. Remember that time she had the No. 1 movie and album in the country all in the same week? Jenny from the block is back!

This isn't the first time Jen's acting is deserving of an Oscar nomination.

Jen has been known to be a romantic comedy sweetheart with roles in movies like The Wedding Planner, Monster-in-Law, and Maid in Manhattan. Although those movies were successes, they did not have the same impact as her role in the 1997 movie Selena. Usually biographical dramas like those easily land someone a nomination for the prestigious acting award, like Jamie Foxx in Ray and Will Smith for his role in Ali, but Jen's acting was overlooked at the time.

Jen has already accomplished so much, but an Oscar nomination would be super significant.

Jen has been nominated for two Grammys for her music, and she's won countless awards including the Video Vanguard Award at the 2018 Video Music Awards. Having her in the conversation for a possible Oscar nomination is extremely significant. As a Latina actress, the possibility of J.Lo being nominated for an Oscar could mean so much to so many people. She has for so long provided representation for Latinos on the big screen, so seeing her onstage receiving the award would be historic.
