Cardi B is heading to trial. The "Clout" rapper appeared in front of a judge at a Queens, New York, court on Friday, April 19, for her misdemeanor assault case over an incident that reportedly took place at a strip club in August 2018.

Cardi is being charged with misdemeanor assault and reckless endangerment for her alleged involvement in a brawl that took place at the nightclub, resulting in injuries to two bartenders. Reports from various publications are now stating that the Grammy winner has rejected a plea deal in the case. She is charged with misdemeanor assault in the third degree.

Cardi arrived at the Queens Criminal Court on Friday morning wearing an all-white outfit and carrying a beige Birkin handbag, looking as glamorous as ever. She was surrounded by security and kept silent as she walked through the crowd outside the building.

According to various reports, if Cardi had accepted the plea deal and the conditions of it were met, the case would have been dismissed, and she would not have had to serve any jail time. Since she rejected the deal, The Blast is now reporting that the case will have to go to trial.

Sisters Baddie Gi and Jade, both bartenders who work at Angel’s Strip Club, are claiming that the "I Like It" rapper ordered them to be attacked at their workplace, and they said chairs, bottles, and hookahs were thrown at them. The feud between the sisters and Cardi started, allegedly, after she reportedly learned that one of them was romantically involved with her husband, Offset

The rapper showed off her designer outfit before heading to court.

Cardi must have a lot of faith in her legal team. She seemed totally unfazed by the situation on social media. Prior to her court appearance, Cardi shared a post of her outfit designed by Christian Siriano on Instagram on Friday, captioning it, "COURT FLOW @csiriano X Birkinp--sy."

Cardi has had to appear in court several times in regard to the case. She turned herself in to police in October, but she wasn't arrested. She was decked out in a fur coat and matching jacket during a visit in January. Prior to that she also had to sign renewals of two protection orders that prevented her from contacting the women she allegedly injured during the incident. She is due back in court on May 31.
